Limpopo police have arrested nine undocumented foreign nationals along N1 Road

Limpopo police have arrested nine undocumented foreign nationals on the N1 next to South African Breweries.

The nine include the 31-year-old driver of the bus, which had packs of sorghum beer inside the trailer.

Police estimate that the alcohol was worth R175 000.

"Preliminary police investigations revealed that the liquor, as well as the undocumented foreign nationals, were being transported to Johannesburg," said Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo.

He said a further four suspects were arrested in a separate operation in Tzaneen.

"Four foreign nationals, aged between 26 and 42, were this morning arrested in Tzaneen by members of the provincial team and 72 boxes of illicit cigarettes valued at R252 000 and three bakkies confiscated.”
